News: Simrad Wins Award at Miami Boat show

  • Simrad StructureScan 3D marine electronics wins Innovation Award at Miami International Boat Show.
  • Win for StructureScan 3D
is the third consecutive Miami show award for Simrad.
  • Previous awards recognised Simrad HALO Pulse Compression Radar.

This is the third consecutive NMMA Innovation Award win for Simrad marine electronics at the Miami Boat show. Previously, Simrad won the NMMA Innovation Award for its HALO Pulse Compression Radar at the 2015 International Boat Builders’ Exhibition and Conference.

Simrad StructureScan 3D allows boaters to see fish, underwater structure and bottom contours in a three-dimensional display on their NSS and NSO evo2 navigational systems.

StructureScan 3D imaging scans underwater terrain to create high-resolution 180°, three-dimensional views in depths to 300 feet and as far as 600 feet to port and starboard. It aims to give cruisers and offshore anglers a better understanding of where fish, bottom contours and structure are located in relation to their boat.

“We are deeply honoured to be continually recognised by the NMMA,” said Leif Ottosson, the CEO of Navico.

“To be selected year after year for providing game-changing sonar, radar and navigation solutions by a panel of industry professionals, speaks volumes about the way
we approach our work every day."
