Spotlight: Beneteau Gran Turismo 40
Usually we put the spotlight on new and exciting boats yet to be confirmed for arrival but news of the new Beneteau Gran Turismo 40 (Beneteau GT40) slipped by until Sundance Marine confirmed the arrival of Australia’s first such luxury motor yacht.
Here now and set to debut at the Melbourne Boat Show (June 17, 2016) the Beneteau Gran Turismo 40 was launched in September 2015, to much fanfare at the Cannes International Yachting Festival.
David Beck from Sundance Marine said: “We’re pleased to have secured this boat for Australia, particularly given her popularity at the Cannes, Paris and Dusseldorf shows.”
Her eye-catching sharp lines look great whether moored or up and going and the latest Air Step technology means her planing hull delivershigh levels of comfort and safety at up to 35 knots.
With two cabins, head and galley, it’s great for families or two couples overnighting or short-term cruising. The spacious outdoor area is perfect for entertaining, with seating for up to 11 people, outdoor cooking area, and a hydraulic swim platform allowing you to launch toys straight into the water.
Her opening sunroof and light, bright cockpit area make her an ideal day boat and versatile in varying weather conditions. Two Volvo 300hp D4 marine diesel engines with sterndrive legs get you where you want to go quickly and joystick control allow you to do it easily and berth shorthanded if needs be.
The Beneteau Gran Turismo 40 includes a unique driving station that seats three and makes a fantastic viewing platform. The wonderful aquatic experience has already delivered her award nominations including 2016 European Powerboat of the Year up to 45 feet, and 2016 Motorboat Awards Sports Cruiser up to 45 feet.
