New exhibitor buildings and a revamped workflow are among the promises for the 2016 Sanctuary Cove B

News - 2016 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show changes

The organisers of the 2016 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show have announced a host of changes aimed at improving visitor flow and maximising visibility for exhibitors.

Located adjacent to C Pier and near George’s Paragon restaurant, The Boat Yard is a new dedicated sportsboat and trailerboat precinct, offering 1600m² of display space for exhibitors. This will also open up the opportunity for nearby sea trials.

Other changes will see the Superyacht and Marine Pavilion relocated alongside the Main Pavilion, encouraging foot traffic through a display of Australian-made products, service providers and marine electronics and gadgets.

Following the success of previous luxury car exhibits by major sponsor Maserati EuroMarque Brisbane, SCIBS 2016 will also expand its luxe vehicle display by introducing Supercar Street – a range of sports, convertible, luxury, prestige and supercars.

SCIBS general manager Johan Hasser said the new precincts promised to be something special.

“Feedback from our sportsboat and trailerboat exhibitors showed they are keen to display their boats in a specific location, which makes it easier for visitors to see them all at once, compare brands and models and take their time,” Hasser said.

“With The Boat Yard featuring everything from skiboats and performance RIBS, to trailerboats fitted out for angling or diving, and Supercar Street showcasing the most impressive luxury vehicles on the road, visitors are guaranteed to experience a ‘show within the show’.”
