Events Guide - Australian Firsts at Brisbane Show this Weekend

Next weekend’s Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show & National 4x4 and Outdoors Expo at the RNA Showgrounds will feature a range of products revealed to the Australian public for the first time.

The LIFESAVER Bottle and Nylon Anchor are just two products to debut that will make life a little bit easier for outdoors enthusiasts.

Developed in the UK, show organisers said the LIFESAVER Bottle is a revolutionary product providing 4WD enthusiasts the opportunity to filter their own water so it is safe enough to drink, no matter what their location.

Based around a 15 nanometre filter, LIFSAVER Systems’ 4000UF bottle is the world’s first personal water filtration bottle that will remove 99.999 per cent of all water-borne pathogens including bacteria, fungi, parasites and viruses.

Mark Petersen from the National 4x4 and Outdoors Expo said the LIFESAVER Bottle is sure to be popular with touring, trailerboating, and camping enthusiasts.

“The LIFESAVER Bottle is great for 4WD enthusiasts who… have had to lug large amounts of drinking water when exploring off the beaten track.
The LIFESAVER Bottle allows them to use water found out in the bush and filter it on the spot so it is safe to drink,” Petersen said.

For the boatie, a revolutionary new Nylon Anchor manufactured by Cooper Anchors will be on display at the event.
The lightweight anchor was developed by Larry Cooper and his two sons after the trio discovered the need for a smaller, lighter, reliable and more affordable anchor to suit jetskis, kayaks, small tinnies and inflatable boats.

Jason Plant from the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show said the Nylon Anchor is a great new product for boaties.

“Cooper Anchors have really addressed a huge demand with the Nylon Anchor and I think that we’ll see a lot of people purchasing their products at the show,” Plant said.

Other new products on display include the Undercover Canvas ‘Outback’ vehicle tent, the innovative Boatcatch coupling, which allows boaties to launch and retrieve their trailer boats without having to set foot on the boat ramp.
