New Products - 360 Docking System From Jeanneau
French yacthbuilder Jeanneau has launched the first production?built yacht equipped with the new 360 Docking manoeuvring system marking the beginning of a new era in manoeuvring yachts at close quarters, the company says.
The system integrates a pivoting saildrive and the bowthruster with a joystick control, making complicated and stressful docking manoeuvres child's play, it said.
“It is going to change the way people look at docking” said the Jeanneau marketing director Erik Stromberg, as he manoeuvred the Sun Odyssey 45DS with 360 Docking away from the dock, “we are making entering the marina a pleasurable experience.”
The drive system will be officially unveiled during September and yachts equipped with this revolutionary system will be present at the Cannes, Genoa and Barcelona boat shows.
A spokesperson for Jeanneau Australia says pricing is still being determined and the system should be available here following the Northern Hemisphere release. Watch this space.
