SCBF: Fleming Yachts

Fleming's Finest

Ever the show favourite, Fleming will again impress with their 55, a vessel steeped with history.

The Fleming 55 was first introduced in 1986, and since that time it has benefited from a rigorous program of evolution. While its legendary hull design is essentially the same, today's 55 is a thoroughly modern yacht utilizing advanced technology, materials and construction methods. Having recently launched their 60th 55, it not only stands as Fleming’s most popular model in the four-model line-up but one of the most successful production yachts of this class in history.

Complementing the elegant yet proud trawler-style design, you'll discover an interior of hand-laid timbers polished to perfection, teak and holly floors leather accents that warm and soften the living quarters. With a range of 2000 nautical miles, the 55 puts you comfortably in reach of the Pacific Islands, where you'll appreciate the deep keel design which provides protection for the running gear and stability in following seas. Fleming has paid special attention to producing a yacht which has become the standard in the industry for its whisper quiet, ultra-smooth ride. Fundamental to this achievement is the use of Aquadrive anti-vibration drive systems and an internal fit-out that oozes class and comfort.

There's a chance the borders will not have opened in time for Sam and the crew to pilot the 55 up from her Sydney home; the videos recently uploaded to their website, however, offer a consolation experience if you’re not able to experience the real thing at the marina in Sanctuary Cove.
