Spotlight: Invictus 320 GT

Borrowing the best of both worlds from its series sisters – the sharp 280 GT and the lux 370 GT – the Italian-made 320 GT is set to be sleek in performance as well as looks. Designed by award-winning designer Christian Grande, the new 320 sports the “half-reverse” bow that distinguishes the GT range, which is elegantly emphasised by an oval-section edge that runs the entire length of the boat.

After its launch at Cannes from 11-16 September this year, buyers will be able to choose from a broad range of power options, owing to the fact that the 320 will be offered with either single or twin engines; versatility which speaks to the 320’s place between the 8.9-metre 280 and the 11.4-metre 370.

This same outlook has been carried over to the family-friendly layout of the new 9.97-metre-long GT, as the 320’s liveable areas are undeniably inspired by the GT flagship. The deck layout is thus: the cockpit can be accessed by the stern swim platform, moving left of the large sundeck, which can be further expanded by transforming the fore sofa. In the middle of the cockpit, the L-shaped dinette has a table and faces an outdoor kitchen with fridge, ice maker, grill and basin, which is tucked into a stand-up cabinet that can easily be hidden away.

“This new release 320 is the perfect step up from the popular 280 that helped launch the Invictus marquee of luxury day boats,” said David Beck, an Invictus expert and director at Sundance Marine.

“Performance, hull design and on-board comfort have been enhanced with this latest model to join the GT line up. With the optional carbon T-top providing sun protection, this boat will certainly prove to be a head-turner on Australian waterways.”

Inside, the Invictus 320 GT has a transforming dinette along the port topside, with a container cabinet on the starboard side. At the stern, a second open-space cabin with double bed makes the best of the cockpit’s architecture without adding weight to the boat’s profile. The bathroom is in the centre of the boat and has all the comforts needed to fully enjoy life on board. The current Invictus range offers multiple colour combinations: the favoured Vanilla Sea as well as Attack Grey, Dark Wood and Personal White.
