New Release: Ocean Alexander 90r
NEW BOAT: OCEAN ALEXANDER 90r
Currently in production at the company’s Taiwan factory and set to debut in November, the 90r is the first superyacht in Ocean Alexander’s new Revolution series.
The collaboration with Evan K. Marshall, a renowned superyacht designer who has worked with Horizon, Ocean Alexander and other prestige boatbuilders since beginning his own design office in 1993, has produced a vessel that’s a stylistic departure for Ocean Alexander. The OA 90r features an almost-vertical prow, an abundance of glass, a full-beam master suite and three decks.
“The new 90r by Evan Marshall combines the obsession for quality which has accompanied Ocean Alexander since (sic) the past 40 years,” said Giampaolo Murzi, one of Ocean Alexander’s distributors who services Europe, Turkey and Russia.
“It has the best of contemporary design and interiors, with many innovating concepts and captivating features that will be a strong market killer worldwide. The right boat with the right features at the right time.”
The most striking feature of the new 90r is its glass-enclosed beach club. Sitting at the stern of the vessel where one might expect a tender garage, the beach club brings the outdoors in with its glass ceiling and weathertight wall that house an L-shaped settee with table, a wet bar, a fridge and an ice maker to create a unique space.
In addition to the beach club, the 90r has a number of expansive dining and entertaining areas. An open-plan main deck creates a seamless flow between the saloon, dining area and galley, though the latter can be closed off by way of sliding wall panels. Al fresco relaxation options include a split foredeck seating area, while the upper deck aft offers another bar area and two L-shaped settees.
When it comes to accommodation, the Ocean Alexander 90r takes full advantage of its 6.7-metre beam with a spacious main deck master suite. The master suite delivers Below decks are a further three or four guest staterooms, with extra options of a forward twin setup or the addition of a second master stateroom.
The Ocean Alexander 90r is available with an open or enclosed bridge. The enclosed version features striking floor-to-ceiling windows to open up surrounding views, while the open bridge arrangement also includes a Jacuzzi. Both include an enclosed pilothouse, a wet bar and a large social space with ample seating.
