Arvor Sportsfish 805

Arvor's recently released 805 Sportsfish is fishing focussed as emphasised by the oxygenated fish locker, which should keep your bait and catch fresh.

The 805 has everything you need for a day on the water. There's an open deck that's easy to hose down after pulling in a day's catch and the starboard and aft cockpit seats can fold out of the way when not in use, but when paired with the removable table, make a good spot for a spot of lunch while h

igh freeboards should stop battle-weary anglers from ending up in the drink.

A Simrad electronics bundle rounds out the potential value (no pricing was mentioned on release) including an RS20 VHF and Simrad 3G Radar.

It looks easy to move about the deck, thanks to walkways either side of the pilothouse, which are afforded by a vertical bow shape that brings the full-beam closer to the front. This also provides some extra room below deck; enough for a fully enclosed head, two-person berth and a small galley with a sink and a fridge.

The 805 can be had with single or double outboard configurations. Collins Marine, Australia's importer of Arvor boats, are offering Mercury packages up to 350hp, which should be more than enough — a hefty 350L fuel capacity is a nice touch.

Peter Collins, of Collins Marine, explains why the new version is so well suited to fishos down under: “The 805 Sportsfish is taking the range to another level. Keen anglers will benefit from a complete revamp to both the hull & deck design whilst keeping with the traditions of Arvor's history with a large spacious, light-filled cabin to help continue to grow Arvor's appeal in the Australian market.”
