Touch the Sky

The latest offering in Beneteau’s dayboats will have you switching between stretching out and chasing an adrenaline rush

The feeling of flying is one unlike any other. Both freeing and a little bit unnerving, there are some sure-fire ways to get your fix (if you are so inclined) — skydiving, bungee jumping, or giant swings just to name a few.

However, if you prefer to get your adrenaline rush at a lower altitude, there’s another way to do so, and that is on water in a boat like the Beneteau Flyer 9.

Now in their sixth generation of days boats, Beneteau have particularly found success with the Flyer range. Consisting of the 6, 7, 8, and 10, the new Flyer 9 completes the range, building on the elegant and sporty features found in its predecessors and introducing something new.

Located on the port side is an opening side platform that offers easy access to the water while also expanding the cockpit to give guests more room to enjoy. The central cockpit, meanwhile, allows the captain to pilot with ease and still be part of the action.

The Flyer 9 is available in two variants — SUNdeck and SPACEdeck. There are features to suit everyone, from the speed loving adrenaline junkies to those looking to relax in the sun.

The SUNdeck variant features a large sunpad on its spacious front deck, from where you can enjoy endless views. Down below is a large cabin with double-berths and a roomy bathroom.

On the SPACEdeck model, sunbathing gives way to other pastimes, namely fishing (though sunbathing can still be on the menu). Featuring two lounges instead of sunpads, a fishing station is also available as an option. Once again, a cabin and bathroom are found below deck.

With twin Suzuki outboard engines spitting out 250hp each, the Flyer 9 has some get up and go to get out to the good fishing spots.

“We have taken the recipe from the previous generations to erase its flaws and optimise the strengths. Staying true to Flyer DNA, the new boat further optimises comfort and performance, delivering total enjoyment on the water,” said Michaël Guinet, outboard product manager at Beneteau.

Thanks to its sporty features and options for deep relaxation and a bit of excitement, the Flyer 9 will have you walking on air.
