Trade-a-Boat News: Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard Completes Construction on New Showrooms and more

GCCM CONTINUES EXPANSION

Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard (GCCM) have now successfully completed the construction of undercover work bays and are moving onto building new showrooms, as step by step the new marine hub takes shape.

With a scheduled finish date of August 2020, the GCCM will between then and now build three new units, providing premises for marine contractors and expanding upon the 80 business already onsite.

The new 240sqm units will be prominently positioned at the entry of the 17.5-hectare facility and will feature retail showrooms, office spaces and workshops, plus easy boat ramp, dry storage and refit shed access.

“GCCM is a boatyard that accommodates marine craft from jet ski to superyacht and we continue to grow and attract leading marine contractors,” Luke McCaul, General Manager of Customer Experience and Facilities Management, said.

Future plans are currently under discussion, with a Stage Two development that doubles the size and the lifting capacity of GCCM being considered.
