Trade-a-Boat News: Saxdor Boats now available for sale in Australia

SAXDOR YACHTS ANCHOR IN AUS

eBoating Australia have been appointed as the distributor of Saxdor Yachts in a move that progresses their status as a cutting-edge European boat provider within the country.

The 200 SPORT, a 20ft outboard-powered personal watercraft, will be the first model to reach Australian shores this spring, and it will feature a price tag of $49,995 (inc. GST) and power options from 100hp to 175hp.

One of its strengths lies in the versatility of the design, Sales Director for eBoating Australia, David Carpenter, said.

“Whether it’s enjoying a day out with the family, fishing, wakeboarding or exploring new areas that fully utilise its incredible offshore capabilities, the 200 has it all in a package that is simply impossible to beat,” he says.

The 200 will be closely followed by the SAXDOR 320 GTO, to be released here in summer after first launching globally, to general acclaim, on June 4 2020.

The 320 features opening side terraces, an aft sun pad with a sliding backrest and a full wet-bar, and the starting price — for a version featuring a single 300hp Mercury V8 outboard — will be $149,995.

That outboard puts the top speed at an estimated 38 knots, with a cruising speed around 30kt, but an upgrade to twin 300hp outboards could see the 320 delivering a top speed in excess of 50 knots to accompany a cruising band between 20 and 40kt.

The design is “modern, sexy, sporty” says Operations Director for eBoating, Campbell Wills, with the GTO being just one of the models that will be available in the 32ft platform.

“All three versions share exquisite design, fast, powerful outboard performance, a refined, economical hull shape, practical deck spaces and a spacious double cabin with separate toilet,” Wills explained.

The Saxdor brand is the result of 25 years of industry experience from Finnish boat designer, Sakari Mattila, who has previously been part of the founding team behind brands such as Axopar, XO Boats, Paragon and Aquador.
