All-Weather Adventure

The flagship in a new range, the Nomad 95 SUV is built to explore while handling whatever Mother nature throws its way

When Mother Nature throws a hissy fit, she goes all out. Wild winds and rain, maybe even hail, can interrupt even the best laid plans and have you darting for cover. Out on the water, though, there isn’t always the ability to get out of the way. Instead, you need a vessel to weather the storm, and that’s what Gulf Craft have delivered with their new Nomad 95 SUV.

The flagship of a new range of sports utility vessels, that will also include the Nomad 65 SUV and Nomad 75 SUV, the 95 pulls together the passion and innovation that has been Gulf Craft’s trademark since its 1982 inception. Made with a variety of materials that include Kevlar and carbon fibre, the 95 proved its mettle on a 4,500 nautical mile journey to the Monaco Yacht Show. Facing 30-knot headwinds and 3m waves, the 95 took it all in its stride to keep the crew and skipper safe and dry.

Designed by Gulf Craft’s in-house design studio and British Naval Architect Andrew Wolstenholme, the range has Gulf Craft’s distinctive seakeeping and ocean-going ability. Some may expect that a trade-off for this ability is a lack of style and comfort. Au contraire, spacious interiors, unique layouts, and the comfort and luxury we all wish to become acquainted with are found throughout the range.

Unlike other yachts of this size, the master stateroom is found on the main deck, rather than in the hull, and curved windows surround the front half of the rooms to provide plenty of light and views for miles. Additionally, up to five guest staterooms can be included plus three crew cabins.

All yachts in this range feature an enclosed sky lounge and wheelhouse on the upper deck and have the option of solar panels which can provide enough power to run the auxiliary equipment at night. A huge garage offers up space for water toys or a tender.

On the 95 SUV, Gulf Craft Executive Chairman, Mohammed Hussein Alshaal, called it, “The perfect vessel to discover new cruising grounds or experience adventure at sea.”

He might just be right about that.
